2019 U.S. Open College Beer Championship
Cincinnati, Ohio (January, 2019) – The registration for the 2019 U.S. Open College Beer Championship is now open. Universities and colleges can register beer through April 6th. Beers will need to arrive in Oxford, Ohio between April 5 – April 15. The medal winners and Grand National Collegiate Champion will be announced on May 7th. The U.S. Open is the only beer competition for beers exclusively from college and university brewing and fermentation programs.
University and College Entries
This competition is for colleges and universities that teach brewing courses and will be held to determine the best future brewers. Any college or university that offers courses in brewing may enter the U.S. Open. All beers must be submitted by one of the school’s brewing professors/instructors. The beers can be brewed on any system on or off campus that is approved by the professors/instructors.
Five categories will be awarded medals. A college can only enter 1 entry per category

Call for Entries
This year, the U.S. Open will be held at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Beers will need to arrive in Oxford between April 5 – April 15. Each school may enter a maximum of five beers. Entry fee will be $25 per beer. Entry forms and rules can be found on the competition website under registration.
